Fried Haloumi
Haloumi is the perfect cheese for frying or grilling.
This is as easy as it gets when it comes to serving
hot food and your guests will think you're a genius
even though it only took five seconds.
Ingredients:
- 2 packets of haloumi cheese, sliced into pieces about 7 mls in thickness.
- Flour to coat slices.
- Oil to fry.
Instructions
Heat oil. When pan is moderately hot, add cheese
slices (dipped in flour).
Cook until golden on one side (takes about 2 minutes), then turn and
cook the other side.
Drain on absorbent paper then serve whilst hot.
